Phosphorescent Paper, Laser, Mirror on Speaker, Pulsar audio interpretations obtained from Steve Aishman of PALFA, Cornell University.
Pulsar audio interpretations are played through a speaker. A laser is pointed at a mirror on the speaker, which then projects harmonographic drawings on to phosphorescent paper.

Photosensitive paper is held in place of the phosphorescent paper to "catch" the harmonographic drawings. Due to the intense exposure to light, the laser burns the drawing into the photosensitive paper and development is not needed.
