A Sustainable Photography Plot // Folkestone

I am pleased to announce an exhibition “The Sustainable Photography Plot”, formed by a new initiative - the Thanet Alternative Photography Collective. I will be leading a natural chemigram workshop, supported by “Folkestone Is An Art School”.

26 Aug - 05 Sept
Thurs - Sun 10:00 - 17:00
The Brewery Tap UCA Project Space | 53 Tontine St, Folkestone, CT20 1JR

“The Brewery Tap UCA Project Space is transformed into a temporary ‘Photography Garden’, using plant chemistry with photographic material to create sustainable photographic art, including cyanotypes, phytograms and natural chemigrams. Throughout the exhibition daily workshops are being held and will populate the walls of the gallery as the work is created. All workshop participants will be invited to be involved in the curatorial planning, culminating in a final show of the participants and the organisers art.”

A Mass, A Gathering
A Seaweed & Fern Phytogram Workshop

Seaweed Shop Hastings.

I will be leading a phytogram workshop on Saturday 4th September, 1-3pm at The Seaweed Shop, Hastings. We will be imbuing ferns and seaweed with soda crystals and vitamin-c, so that the plants become developing agents. Once applied to silver gelatin photographic paper, the plants will leave highly detailed traces. Booking via Jessica Potter

Seaweed Developer Workshop
The Margate School

On Saturday 18th September, I will be leading a seaweed film developing workshop at The Margate School. Find out more on The Margate School website.

Note About Workshops

Following my existing workshop bookings, I will not be taking on new workshop bookings until July 2022. This is due to a range of commitments including PhD study, teaching and existing projects which will require my full attention.
