Lumen Studios and the Pak Khawateen Painting Club present “Glacial Movements and the Ghaib (Unseen)” at VM Art Gallery, Karachi, Pakistan.

This exhibition explores the history and politics of water bodies, flow of water, fluidity, bodies blocking water, and bodies moving along water. This unique exhibition will open Saturday, March 4th from 5pm to 8pm and will continue till March 24th.The Club’s project aims to showcase the precarity and beauty of living with large natural formations such as glaciers. The exhibition space will feature an experimental and experiential display of the works produced during fieldwork, including journals, videos, sounds, photography, and paintings. Each individual artist’s work will be viewable on a website that is currently being produced.

This project is funded by New Perspectives 75 Years of Pakistan/Uk British Council and was triggered from an invitation to a new commission at the Lahore Biennale.

I will be exhibiting a becquerel daguerreotype of the Sun at the Alternative Process and the Handmade Photograph exhibition at Atlanta Photography Group Gallery. This exhibition is co-curated by The Hand Magazine.

Myself and Dr Carlos Cueto will demonstrate how to capture unobservable sounds using photography and uncover the physical principles enabling us to develop the future of brain imaging. This event is supported by Imperial College London and Canterbury Christ Church University.

This project is a development of our Ultrasound project, commissioned by the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London in 2020.
